Returns, withdrawal, and cancellation by the buyer are governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG / “UN Sales Law”), which is considered the global standard in B2B trade and provides comprehensive buyer rights.
Important: “Orders for trial/inspection” with subsequent return are not provided for under the CISG, and we do not offer such an option.
The reason for this is repeated misuse in the past. In particular, our products were “purchased” for one-off events, workshops, or conferences and then returned afterwards, without any genuine intention to buy. In some cases, such “customers” did not even operate an office – they merely wanted to use Studiotools products temporarily.
This practice creates significant costs. These costs quickly add-up, since delivery is carried out via two-person logistics and every return requires manual inspection, refurbishment, and repackaging. Such costs are not borne by those who cause them, but by all other customers – including you. That is neither fair nor sustainable.
For this reason, returns are excluded – which is in line with common B2B practice and expressly consistent with the CISG. This also means we do not need to include a “return surcharge” in our pricing and can therefore offer our products at the best possible price-performance ratio.
